Antibacterial and Deodorizing: As towel products are often soaked in water and placed in relatively humid environments, microorganisms can reproduce in large numbers, potentially causing the towels to emit odors and cause itching to users. Therefore, towels require higher standards, especially those treated with antibacterial and deodorizing chemicals. The general approach is to use finishing agents with bactericidal properties to impart antibacterial characteristics. In recent years, Japan has conducted extensive research on natural antibacterial finishing agents, such as using extracts of aloe vera and mugwort oils with bactericidal properties, encapsulating them in porous organic microcapsules or porous ceramic powders, and attaching them to the fabric. These are then fixed with resins and slowly release the bactericides through mechanical actions like friction and compression, aiming for durable antibacterial treatment. However, due to the limitations of current antibacterial fixation technology, the wash resistance of the antibacterial agents is not yet ideal, and their antibacterial properties decrease with each wash, usually disappearing completely after a few dozen washes.
