To achieve a clean, bright appearance and soft texture, clothes must be bleached wash. This involves, after a regular wash and rinsing, heating the water to 60°C and adding an appropriate amount of bleaching agent based on the depth of the color, ensuring a consistent color within 7-10 minutes. During the process, the direction of adding the bleaching agent should match the rotation of the drum to prevent localized bleaching due to the agent not diluting with water quickly enough. Before bleaching, the drum should be slightly filled with water to allow for dilution. After bleaching, the remaining bleaching solution in the water is neutralized using baking soda (Na2CO3) or sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) to stop the bleaching process completely. Following a final rinse, add detergent, whitening agents, and hydrogen peroxide at 50°C for washing, pH neutralization, and softening treatment. Bleaching can be categorized into oxygen bleaching and chlorine bleaching. Oxygen bleaching uses hydrogen peroxide to oxidize the dye structure at a specific pH and temperature, achieving color fading and whitening, often resulting in a slightly reddish fabric. Chlorine bleaching uses sodium hypochlorite to oxidize the dye structure for color fading, typically used for indigo denim. After bleaching, neutralize any remaining chlorine in the water and on the clothes with sodium metabisulfite to stop the bleaching. Subsequent stone washing, which involves using stones to agitate the clothes, is known as bleached stone wash (BLEACH STONE).
