Analytical Methods and Operation Steps for Weave Wale Analysis!

The warp lines on canvas are usually not visible on the white gray fabric, but appear as horizontal stripes after dyeing. Regular single yarn warp lines are generally caused by misaligned yarns; regular wider horizontal stripes, composed of multiple yarns, are often due to fluctuations in raw material quality, mixed batches of yarns, or inconsistent tension of elastane spandex.

Upon receiving the widthwise fabric sample, first visually inspect the distribution of the bars. Then, comprehensively analyze the cause of the fabric's widthwise defects by methods such as dismantling the fabric, instrumental testing, and chemical dissolution. Focus on the characteristics of color differences to further analyze factors like mixed batches, twist, yarn count, mislaid yarns, and uneven elasticity that contribute to the widthwise defects on the fabric surface.

③ Cut a piece of fabric of equal length from the bar fabric, then tear it apart. Measure the yarn length at the bar section and the normal section while in a natural stretched state. If there is a difference in yarn length, it may be caused by inconsistent loop size or tension.

After dismantling the fabric, use spinning testing equipment to measure the twist, yarn count, slub, and hairiness at the cross-section. Compare the yarn at the cross-section to that in the normal area for any differences.

⑤ The cross-section fabric samples containing spandex elastane were dissolved using the "chemical dissolution method" in accordance with the FZ/T 01057.4—2007 standard, followed by washing and drying. By examining the fabric surface that only contains yarn fibers, we can determine if the characteristics of the cross-section are consistent with the original fabric surface. If the pure yarn fabric sample shows no bar-like pattern, it can be ruled out that the yarn is the cause of the cross-section.

Similarly, by using the "chemical dissolution method" to dissolve the yarn fibers in the fabric, then wash and dry it, examining the remaining Lycra yarn fabric, we can determine if the transverse stripe characteristics are consistent with the original fabric. If the pure Lycra yarn fabric exhibits identical stripe patterns, it can be confirmed that the transverse stripes are caused by the tension issue with the Lycra yarn in the knitting factory.

Inspecting with a fiber fineness tester, the longitudinal and cross-sectional slices of yarn are analyzed to determine any changes or abnormalities in the fiber structure, fiber condition, and blending ratio within the yarn. During slicing, colored wool is used as a medium to isolate the fibers, resulting in appropriately thin slices with clearer and more distinguishable images.

To prepare a solution for dissolving the cellulose fibers in a spandex-cellulose blended fabric, which does not dissolve the spandex fibers: first, pour 75mL of water into a beaker, then slowly add 25mL of 98% concentrated sulfuric acid along a glass rod, while continuously stirring to create a 40% sulfuric acid solution.

A method for dissolving a blend of氨纶丝 cellulose fibers: Place the elastic fabric sample in a beaker containing 40% dilute sulfuric acid, then heat it in a water bath to 95°C, stirring gently with a glass rod for approximately 30 minutes. Discard the solution, put on rubber gloves, clean the spandex fabric sample, and dry it to examine the fabric's surface texture.
