Factors Contributing to Cross Grain in Circular Woven Fabrics at the Dyeing and Finishing Factory:

① Poor state of dyeing and finishing equipment, eccentric and bent roller shafts, poor roundness, and defective printing machine screens can cause horizontal stripes on the fabric surface.

② The crossbar caused by dyeing and finishing parking, inattention to operation, prolonged parking time, roller remaining on the fabric surface, stains from the dye liquid, and the crossbar being more pronounced after the fabric surface is dried.

③ Direct dyeing without proper pretreatment or improper pretreatment, unreasonable dyeing time, temperature, pressure, and dye material ratio, resulting in uneven fabric color.

④ The fibers within the cotton yarn have moisture absorption properties, resulting in varying moisture regain rates. This leads to uneven dryness and wetness on the fabric surface, causing inconsistent dyeing and horizontal streaks with varying shades.

⑤ During the boiling process, water evaporation led to a shortage of water, causing the dyed fabric surface to expose dye locally, resulting in uneven coloring. The spacing of the horizontal stripes on this fabric surface lacks a clear regularity.

During the post-treatment process, improper high-temperature sizing resulted in cross grain marks on the fabric. Cross grain marks on the fabric caused by dyeing and finishing factors usually disappear after fading.

After dyeing and padding, the pre-drying process can cause varying degrees of dye migration due to inconsistent drying rates, resulting in uneven dye distribution on the fabric surface.
