Factors Contributing to Cross-Sectional Defects in Circular Knitted Fabrics at the Knitting Factory:
① Failure to use cotton yarn in the order of production dates; mixed batches and factories used. Pre-treatment management is chaotic, with poor quality control of singeing, and batches and production dates not marked after singeing.
② Operator error in weaving, including incorrect yarn placement, wrong yarn change, and incorrect yarn threading after breakage. Additionally, elastane spandex fibers were not repaired after breaking.
③ Poor equipment operation and substandard debugging status. Severe wear on sedimentation blades, sedimentation triangles, and weaving needle triangles, with significant deviation in the cylinder's roundness.
④ Improper tension during roving can result in regular horizontal streaks on the fabric surface. Poor conditions of the circular loom's yarn feeding disc and yarn feeders can lead to wider horizontal streaks on the fabric.
⑤ During the use of spandex elastic yarn, issues such as yarn leakage, breakage, twisting, and double yarns may occur. Inconsistent sizes and significant discrepancies between the spandex yarn reels on the same circular machine lead to uneven tension in the spandex yarn. There is a close relationship between the regular and widely spaced fabric cross-sections and the uneven tension of the spandex yarn on the circular machine.
In the circular knitting process, inconsistencies in yarn loop sizes exist, resulting in higher fabric density in areas with larger loops and lower density in areas with smaller loops.
The yarn in circular weaving is horizontally traversing, and most longitudinal defects are caused by the weaving needle, generally having no direct relationship with yarn quality.
⑧ The installation position of the clutch varies, resulting in different yarn feeding speeds, which is more prone to horizontal streaks on the fabric surface.
