Factors Causing Cross Weaves in Circular Woven Fabrics at Spinning Mills!

Factors such as the origin, batch, color, brightness, performance of spinning raw materials, and differences in cotton maturity and micronaire value, which are influenced by variations in raw material quality, can lead to cross grain in fabrics.

Improper handling of raw material transition batches, particularly when the quality of the incoming batch differs significantly from the previous one, the longer the transition period, the smaller the increase in raw materials for the transition batch, and the lesser the chance of fabric streaks. Conversely, the longer the transition, the greater the likelihood of fabric streaks.

③ Uneven mixing of raw materials from different origins, batches, and specifications, as well as uneven mixing of components from different blended varieties, can all lead to cross-sections in the fabric.

④ Material blending typically involves two methods: batch blending and strand blending, with strand blending being more accurate for fiber mixing. However, controlling the weight inconsistency of carded slivers and, if necessary, applying blending and processing techniques are crucial factors in ensuring the accuracy of the blended ratio.

⑤ When packing cotton on the platform, ensure even distribution, trim heights and fill in gaps. Pay special attention to the cotton rolls at the beginning and end, which are prone to uneven mixing; they should be re-coiled for use. The re-winding, re-stranding, and re-planting should be uniform vertically. The cotton picking hand should be active but not excessive, maintaining the operation rate of the picking machine at over 92%.

⑥ When adopting the mixed raw material blending method, if a multi-bin blending machine is not available, it may be necessary to perform secondary rolling as required. The single rolling of the top, middle, and bottom layers on the cotton platform should be classified and evenly distributed to ensure a more thorough and consistent blending of different fibers; or an additional blending process can be added, where the pre-mixed raw materials are packaged, then loaded onto the grab packaging machine, and proceed to the cotton cleaning process.

When implementing the blending method of sliver mixed fibers, the feeding positions of the slivers with different fibers must be consistent and fixed, maintaining the same structural positions of various fibers within the sliver.

When producing blended yarns with three or more types of fibers, a combination of package blending and strand blending can be employed. After packaging and twisting some fibers into strands, they are then mixed with another portion of fibers to ensure a uniform and consistent blend of the multi-component fibers.

To produce the same variety with identical machine models, maintain process consistency to avoid quality discrepancies in cotton yarn due to differences in machine types or inconsistent processes. When different machine models produce the same variety of cotton yarn and weave them together on the same circular loom, variations in weight, twist, yarn evenness, and hairiness can lead to horizontal streaks on the fabric, particularly more pronounced in lightweight fabrics.

When the weight deviation of cotton yarn exceeds 3.5% or more, and the blending ratio difference is greater than 2.5%, and two or more similar yarns are used together, the bleached cloth will show distinct horizontal streaks. Additionally, when the twist difference is over 4%, horizontal streaks will also appear on the bleached or dyed cloth surface.

Ensure distinct differentiation during the use of various equipment. Store finished and semi-finished products separately, strictly prohibit mixing, blending, or using them together, to prevent quality accidents caused by incorrect materials or varieties.
