Identifying Ring Spun Double Yarn and Open End Spun Yarn

Ring-spun yarn is produced on a fine yarn machine, with all single yarns spun in Z twist. When two single yarns are combined, they are twisted together using S twist. The open-end spun yarn is fed into the fine yarn drawing zone with two slivers at a certain distance, which are drawn and twisted into yarn separately. Both yarns remain Z twist after twisting. Therefore, by examining the twist direction of the yarns' combination, the two can be distinguished.
