Types of Silk-Cotton

According to different silk objects, silk cotton is generally divided into yarn silk, fabric silk, and double silk.

Texturized yarn: A special type of cotton yarn that, under tension, is treated with high-concentration caustic soda or liquid ammonia, thereby combining the original properties of cotton with a silk-like luster.

Texturized Silk: Refers to cotton fabric that, under tension, is treated with high-concentration caustic soda or liquid ammonia, resulting in a superior luster, sturdier texture, and better shape retention.

Double-Silk: Refers to fabric woven from cotton yarns that have undergone mercerization, followed by an additional mercerization process on the fabric itself. This results in the cotton fibers undergoing a full and irreversible swelling in a concentrated alkali solution. The treated fabric boasts a smooth surface with a silk-like luster, as well as improved strength, resistance to pilling, and dimensional stability to varying degrees.
