Main Causes of Uneven yarn line drying

(1) Fiber Properties Differences: The length, fineness, structure, and morphology of natural fibers are uneven, and this unevenness is not only evident between different fibers but also within the different sections of the same fiber. The uniformity of chemical fibers is better than that of natural fibers, yet some properties still differ. The unevenness of these fiber properties or differences in performance can lead to uneven yarn dryness, manifesting as an increased CV value and elevated spectral plots.

(2) Random Arrangement of Fibers: Even if the fibers are of equal length and thickness, and all fibers in the yarn are straight and parallel, with no defects in the spinning equipment or process, the yarn will still exhibit unevenness. This is due to the random distribution of fiber count within the yarn cross-section, which is also referred to as ultimate unevenness.

(3) Incidental Unevenness Caused by Accidents: Such unevenness often stems from special causes, such as flower petals sticking, gear teeth entanglement, guide rods out of place, poor operation, air conditioning failure, cotton candy sticking to rollers, etc. Most of the time, it manifests as an increase in defects or the appearance of large defects, and sometimes it also presents as mechanical waves.
