The cause of the "color stain" issue on fabric surfaces refers to the appearance of stains with regular shapes and sizes, or irregular ones without a fixed shape or size, that are of the same color category as the dyed fabric, which are known as color stains.

The causes of color stain defects generally fall into the following three aspects:

The Aggregation of Dyes: Dye molecules aggregate into larger dye aggregates (or dye complexes) due to direct collisions. These larger dye aggregates deposit on the fabric during the dyeing process, causing color stain defects. During the color development (or fixation) stage of dyeing, strong attractions between dye molecules lead to aggregation, also resulting in color stain defects. These defects are characterized by their distributed and irregular nature.

The Tarification of Dyes: The tarification of dyes refers to the process where dye particles coalesce with surfactants to form a coal tar-like substance under high-temperature conditions.

Dye Stains on Fabrics: During the dyeing process, improper operation and foaming of auxiliaries often result in the dye solution floating with color sediments on the surface. If these sediments are not treated and carried onto the fabric by the dye foam, they can cause sticky stains. For instance, when using Haichang Blue sulfur dyes for batch dyeing, excessive foam during the dyeing process, combined with vigorous stirring, can lead to blue foam being wrapped into the fabric roll, adhering to the fabric and forming stains.
