Full-width arched weft twist. This type of twist features weft yarn forming an arched or bow-like twist. It primarily occurs on the expansion roller of the bending roller. Due to the presence of minor creases before the bending roller or cylinder, a bending roller is sometimes added to expand the cloth and remove creases. While applying moderate tension to expand and remove creases in the fabric, the weft yarn is stretched into a middle-convex bow shape. The degree of the convex arc is related to factors such as the density and thickness of the fabric, the curvature of the bending roller, and the tension the fabric experiences on the bending roller. Additionally, on silk reeling machines and sizing machines, the fabric is held by hangers as it progresses, heated by hot air, or treated with hot dilute alkali, causing the fabric to relax and develop a delayed effect in the middle section. After leaving the hanger, the weft twist appears as a concave arc. This condition is more likely to occur in thin fabrics.
