The Causes of Weft Waviness: 1. If the fabric or knitted design is poorly designed, it can result in a weft waviness condition. In such cases, the design itself must be entirely changed.
2. Although the textiles were produced according to standard textile and design practices, a weft twist occurred during the dyeing and printing processes. This weft twist issue commonly occurs in short fiber and long filament plain weave fabrics in dyeing and printing factories. The reason is that rope-like dyed and cleaned fabrics are prone to weft twist. The softer the fabric, the more susceptible it is to deformation.
Therefore, when using rope dyeing or similar dyeing machines, it is particularly noticeable that plain weave fabric tends to develop a warp bias, easily forming a weaving warp bias and snake-like (S-shaped) patterns.
4. When warping occurs, resulting in defective products, the fabric's structure warps, and any textiles using this fabric (dyeing, continuous dyeing, printing) will also become defective. Particularly during the printing finishing process, the warped state is easily apparent.
