Why De-sizing?
After sizing, the sizing material penetrates between the fibers, with some adhering to the surface of the warp yarns. While improving the yarn's properties, the sizing material contaminates the dyeing and finishing processing liquid, hindering the chemical interaction between the fibers and dyes/chemicals, making dyeing and finishing processing difficult.Desizing Methods for Common FabricsCotton fabric: The common desizing methods include enzymatic desizing, alkaline desizing, oxidant desizing, and acidic desizing.Starch-Free Viscose Fabrics: Desizing is the key pre-treatment step for starch-free viscose fabrics. Since the grey fabric is usually sized with starch, the BF7658 starchase is commonly used for desizing, with the desizing process similar to that of cotton fabrics.Tencel: Tencel itself is free of impurities. During the weaving process, it is impregnated with a sizing agent mainly composed of starch or modified starch. The sizing can be removed using an enzyme or an alkaline oxygen one-bath process.
Starch-enzyme Retenced Soy Protein Fiber FabricPolyester Fabric (Scouring and Refining): Polyester itself does not contain impurities; however, there are trace amounts of oligomers (less than 3%) present during the synthesis process.
