To achieve a clean and vibrant appearance with a soft feel, clothes require a bleach wash. After a regular rinse, the temperature is raised to 60°C, and an appropriate amount of bleaching agent is added based on the depth of the color. Within 7-10 minutes, the color should match the standard. During the process, the direction of adding the bleach should be in line with the drum rotation to prevent localized bleaching as the agent may not dilute with water quickly enough. Before bleaching, the tank level should be slightly higher to allow for water dilution. After the bleach wash, neutralize any remaining bleach in the water with sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) or sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) to stop the bleaching process. Rinse thoroughly, then add detergent, fluorescence brightener, and hydrogen peroxide at 50°C for washing. Adjust the pH, perform fluorescence brightening, and soften the fabric.

Oxygen bleaching utilizes the oxidizing action of hydrogen peroxide under specific pH levels and temperatures to destroy the dye structure, thereby achieving the purpose of fading and whitening. Chlorine bleaching produces a coarse fading effect and is commonly used for washing indigo denim. After bleaching, the residual chlorine in the water and clothing should be neutralized with sodium thiosulfate to stop the bleaching process. Following bleaching, the stone-washing process (BLEACH STONE) is conducted.
