When it comes to the four pests, most people can rattle them off: cockroaches, rats, flies, and mosquitoes. They are the top four insects that cause widespread harm. In order to maintain our living environment and prevent losses due to the four pests, it is necessary to conduct pest control and elimination. Below, the Fire Protection Association within the China Disinfection Association (CDCA) will discuss why we carry out pest control and the significance of this work.
What are the的危害 caused by the four pests?
Rats: They can transmit various diseases such as plague and hemorrhagic fever, posing severe threats to public health and well-being. Additionally, rats cause significant losses to crops, with over 35 million tons of stored grain lost globally each year and a reduction in crop yield of 50 million tons due to rodent infestations. Moreover, rats can damage power and communication equipment, severely impacting industries such as manufacturing and transportation.
The cockroach: It can carry dozens of pathogenic bacteria and protozoa on its body, posing serious harm to both physical and mental health. Consuming food contaminated by cockroaches may lead to food poisoning. Cockroaches also chew on household items like clothes, books, and paintings, resulting in financial losses for the family.
Flies: Their primary harm to us is the spread of various diseases and pathogens, affecting our physical and mental health. Additionally, flies have a penchant for buzzing around in homes, which can be incredibly annoying, causing restlessness and disrupting our daily lives.
Mosquitoes: Their harm lies in their ability to feed on human blood, causing itchy and uncomfortable bites. More critically, mosquitoes also transmit various diseases during their bites, such as malaria and dengue hemorrhagic fever, posing significant risks.
