Gates are control facilities used to close and open water release channels. An essential component of hydraulic structures, they can intercept water flow, control water levels, regulate flow rates, discharge sediment and floating debris, and more.
The gate is primarily composed of three main parts:
The main activity section, used for closing or opening apertures, commonly referred to as gates, also known as gate leaves.
② Grouting section;
③ Gate Valves.
The event includes components such as panel beams and weighing structures, supporting walking parts, guiding and sealing devices, and lifting lugs. The embedded parts consist of main tracks, guide tracks, hinge seats, lintels, thresholds, and sealing seats, which are embedded around the openings and securely connected to the concrete of hydraulic structures with anchor rods. These form supports and sealing surfaces for the walking parts on the door leaves, facilitating the transfer of water pressure and other loads from the door leaf structure to the hydraulic structure, ensuring optimal gate sealing performance. The operating machinery is connected to the lifting lugs of the door leaves to control the position of the moving parts, although some gates utilize hydraulic automatic control for operation.
