Insulating flange components are a general term for pipe flange joints that require both sealing performance for buried steel pipelines and electrical insulation properties for engineering against electrochemical corrosion. This includes a pair of steel flanges, an insulating gasket between the flanges, flange fasteners and insulated parts, as well as a pair of steel short pipes that are separately welded to each flange. These insulating flange components, along with insulating joints, are products produced for the oil and chemical industries, characterized by simple structure, safe use, reliable performance, and have received widespread positive feedback from customers.
Insulating flange components have been developed into a series. In case of special circumstances, they can be designed and manufactured according to customer requirements. Insulating flange components are primarily used in gas transmission and distribution pipelines, as well as in equipment for gas regulation, measurement, and storage. Their main function is to provide insulation and isolation between sections of the gas transmission and distribution pipelines, and between equipment and pipelines, protecting them from chemical corrosion and extending the service life of both pipelines and equipment. The products comply with the standard SY/T0516-1997 "Technical Specifications for Design of Insulating Flange Components."
