Area calculation for fire shutter doors is listed as a formula:
W: Wide opening
H: Hole height
Y: Pre-rolled Dimensions
F: Box Size
Back
S: Area
Formula One: Calculation of the area for fire-resistant roller shutters without boxing.
1. Internal Installation: W* (H+Y) = S
2. External Installation: (W + 0.2) * (H + 0.4 + Y) = S (Unit: m)
Formula Two: Calculation of Area for Fireproof Roller Shutters with Sealing and Pre-Wound Features:
1. Internal Installation: W*(H+F+Y+B)=S (F=1.0m, B=0.4m)
External Installation: (W + 0.2) * (H + 0.4 + Y + F + Y + B) = S
Note: Double-faced sealing: F=1.0m; Triple-faced sealing: F=1.6m, B=0.4m
Fire-resistant roller shutters come in two types: steel and inorganic fabric. Their area calculations for fire-resistant roller shutters also vary. The dimensions of the sealing box for fire-resistant roller shutters differ; for inorganic fabric double-track double-curtain doors, the sealing box size is 400mm x 900mm, while for steel fire-resistant roller shutters, the sealing box size is 400mm x 600mm. Therefore, the area of fire-resistant roller shutters is also different. Please consider the different sealing box dimensions when calculating.
