When selecting a cooling tower, pay attention to the following: 1. The tower body structure material should be stable, durable, corrosion-resistant, and well-assembled. 2. Even water distribution, minimal wall flow, and reasonable selection of spray devices that are not prone to clogging. 3. The type of cooling tower's water distribution fill material should meet the water and temperature requirements. 4. The fan should match the tower to ensure long-term normal operation without vibration or abnormal noise, with good resistance to water erosion and sufficient strength. The installation angle of the fan blades can be adjusted, but the angle must be consistent, and the motor current should not exceed the rated current. 5. Low energy consumption and cost, with lightweight requirements for small and medium-sized steel frame glass cooling towers. 6. Avoid placing cooling towers near heat sources, exhaust and smoke generation points, chemical storage areas, and coal piles. 7. The distance between cooling towers or between towers and other buildings should consider the tower's ventilation requirements, the mutual influence between the tower and the building, as well as the fire and explosion-proof distances for the building and the construction and maintenance requirements of the cooling tower. 8. The direction of the cooling tower's inlet pipe can be rotated by 90°, 180°, or 270°. 9. The material of the cooling tower can withstand low temperatures of -50°C, but for areas where the average monthly temperature in the coldest month is below -10°C, this should be specified when ordering to take anti-freezing measures. The cost of the cooling tower may increase by approximately 3%. 10. The turbidity of the recirculating water should not exceed 50mg/l, and temporarily should not exceed 100mg/l; it should not contain oil or mechanical impurities, and necessary measures for algae control and water quality stabilization should be taken. 11. The water distribution system is designed based on the nominal water volume; if the actual water volume differs by ±15% or more, this should be specified when ordering to modify the design. 12. During storage and transportation, cooling tower components should not be subjected to heavy loads, should not be exposed to direct sunlight, and fire safety should be observed. No open flames, such as electric or gas welding, should be used during installation, transportation, or maintenance, and fireworks should not be set off nearby. 13. In a round tower multi-tower design, the net distance between towers should be at least 0.5 times the diameter of the tower body. Crossflow towers and reverse flow square towers can be arranged side by side. 14. The pump selected should be compatible with the cooling tower to ensure flow and head requirements. 15. When selecting multiple cooling towers, it is preferable to choose the same model.
