After 1000 hours of treatment at 250℃ high temperature, its mechanical properties change minimally. PTFE has a very low coefficient of friction, making it an excellent anti-friction and self-lubricating material. Its static friction coefficient is less than its dynamic friction coefficient, thus offering the advantages of low starting resistance and smooth operation when used to make bearings. Due to its non-polarity, heat resistance, and non-absorbency, PTFE is also an excellent electrical insulating material. It also features excellent resistance to aging, non-stickiness, and non-flammability.
