Seals are used on a variety of machinery and equipment, providing a sealing function under specified temperatures, pressures, and different liquid and gas mediums, whether in a static or moving state. They are extensively applied in machine tools, ships, automobiles, aerospace equipment, metallurgical machinery, chemical equipment, construction machinery, mining machinery, oil machinery, plastic machinery, agricultural machinery, and various types of instruments and meters. Seals are primarily used for static and reciprocating motion sealing. For rotational motion sealing, low-speed rotating seal devices are utilized. Seals are generally installed in the grooves with a rectangular cross-section on the outer or inner circle, where they serve as a seal. Despite environments like oil resistance, acidity and alkalinity, wear, and chemical erosion, seals still provide excellent sealing and vibration reduction. Consequently, seals are a widely used type of sealing element in hydraulic and pneumatic transmission systems.
