Machining machine castings, also known as large castings, bed frames, bases, and worktables, feature: ⑴ Good wear resistance and vibration damping. ⑵ Excellent process performance. Due to the high carbon content in gray cast iron, which is close to eutectic composition, the melting point is relatively low, the fluidity is good, the shrinkage rate is small, making it suitable for casting complex structures or thin-walled castings. Additionally, since graphite facilitates the formation of chip breakage during cutting, the machinability of gray cast iron is superior to that of steel.
