Guiwei lychee is one of the lychee varieties, named for its osmanthus flavor. Also known as Guizhi and Daidong, the Guiwei lychee tree is tall, with a 500-year-old tree reaching 16 meters in height, a canopy width of 13 meters, and a trunk circumference of 2.3 meters. It is an excellent mid-season variety and a significant export commodity fruit.
