Bael fruit, also known as jackfruit, oil fruit, and sometimes referred to as "oil gold," has a bitter and sour taste that turns sweet and cool after consumption, offering a very refreshing experience. The market offers two types: wild bael fruit and fruit-type bael fruit. Compared to wild bael fruit, the fruit-type variety boasts larger size, thicker flesh, less fiber, rich nutrition, high yield, and better profitability, with an even sweeter and more refreshing taste. Varieties include Sweet Tamarind (Pure)Sweet without any sourness Pingdan No.2, Big Jade Gamat, Lion Head Gamat Bael fruit is drought and poor soil tolerant, not particular about soil type, and can grow normally in red and yellow loam or sandy loam. In overly fertile and wet areas, bael fruit tends to overgrow, making it unsuitable for planting. Bael prefers light and warmth, and is sensitive to temperature. It can grow in areas with an average annual temperature above 20℃ and rainfall of 1000mm. Higher temperatures facilitate the differentiation of flower buds in bael fruit and promote plant growth.
