The cutting methods for ductile iron pipes and the key factors for improper handling can lead to some pipe ends fracturing or deforming excessively, necessitating the removal of that section. Perhaps during construction, due to the need to install弯管(bends)、支管(branches), and valves, pipes of varying lengths are required, with the exact lengths determined only on-site. Therefore, pipe cutting is also necessary.
1. The ball-milled cast iron pipe is continuously ground using a grinding wheel until it breaks. To cut ball-milled cast iron pipe using the grinding method, first, mark the cutting area to prevent deviation during cutting. Place the lined ball-milled cast iron pipe in the cutting machine and secure it using the built-in clamps. Next, start the cutting machine and gradually apply pressure to the handle, allowing the grinding wheel to cut into the ball-milled cast iron pipe until it is severed.
2. When applying pressure to the handle, avoid exerting excessive force at once, as this may cause the grinding wheel to crack. During machine operation, operators must not stand on the side with the grinding wheel to prevent accidental injuries. If the grinding wheel exhibits vibrations,摇晃, or instability during cutting, immediately stop the operation and inspect for any cracks or damage. If necessary, replace the grinding wheel promptly to ensure safe and normal use. For the cut surface of the ductile iron pipe, if there are burrs that hinder use, they can be smoothed down using a grinding wheel or a file.
