The spark gap is one of the commonly used and simple methods for detecting insulator zero values in our country; spark gaps are generally fixed. Our company's insulator spark gap zero tester features adjustable fixed settings based on potential levels, with an adjustable angle measuring head at the top of the operating rod. Our company's insulator spark gap null detector features a adjustable fixed design, with an adjustable angle measuring head at the top of the operating rod. Technical Specifications Prior to climbing the pole, connect and adjust the probe gap on the operation rod, maintain a safe distance from the rod, fasten the safety belt, and proceed with the inspection. During the inspection of insulators, the probe makes contact with the steel caps or metal at both ends of the insulator. If the insulator has good insulation properties, a spark will be produced from the gap discharge, accompanied by a discharge sound and light indicator. If the insulator is defective (low or zero value), the potential difference across the insulator will be very small or zero, resulting in no spark gap discharge, without any discharge sound or light indicator. Such porcelain bottles are considered zero or low value and should be replaced immediately. Note: Adjusted spacing distances for various voltage levels are shown in the table.
