Radiation-crosslinked polyethylene heat shrinkable tape, commonly referred to as polyethylene heat shrinkable tape, is a specialized material used for anti-corrosion jointing on steel pipe welds. It is also known in the industry as polyethylene couplings, overlapping joint sleeves, and adjustable sleeves, among other colloquial terms. Hot shrink band主体, also comes with sealing strips and fasteners, and the hot shrink band is easy to scale production and much easier to install.
Heat-shrinkable tape, during installation, shrinks radially while the base material is melting the internal adhesive layer, which tightly covers the joint area. This forms a durable corrosion-resistant shell externally with the base material, exhibiting excellent wear, corrosion, impact resistance, as well as good UV and photoaging properties.
The polyethylene shrink wrap system itself includes three parts: the main shrink wrap tape, the fixing strip, and solvent-free epoxy primer.
