Common types of racking include:
One Heavy-Duty Rack
Heavy-duty racking is a common type of storage racking and one with a wide range of applications. Among all types of racking, heavy-duty racking has the lowest cost but also the lowest storage efficiency. It is suitable for warehouses with a diverse range of goods.
Two-aisle shelving
The through-shelf racking requires a single type of goods and allows for a first-in, last-out system. Through-shelf racking has higher requirements for forklifts, as the vehicle width must not exceed certain limits and needs to enter the storage aisles. The storage rate of through-shelf racking is high, but during storage operations, it is necessary to enter the aisles slowly, resulting in lower efficiency.
Three Gravity Shelving Systems
Gravity-fed shelves are an automatic gravity-assisted racking system that slides goods down from above without power. They have specific requirements for the material of the pallets and are relatively expensive. However, they offer first-in, first-out (FIFO) storage with high efficiency.

The shuttle racking system is an automated storage system where the shuttles serve as the storage machines, working in conjunction with forklifts. It represents the future direction of rack storage systems, enabling the first-in-first-out principle. To achieve higher storage efficiency, a greater number of shuttles are required.
Five: Push-in Shelving
Push-back racking, also known as rear-load racking, involves pushing loaded cartons from the front to the back of the racking using a forklift. This type of racking is less commonly used.
