   65Mn Spring SteelThe strength, hardness, elasticity, and quenchability are all higher than that of No. 65 steel. It has sensitivity to overheating and tendency towards temper brittleness, with a propensity to crack upon water quenching. In the annealed state, it has good machinability, low plasticity for cold deformation, and poor weldability. Used for leaf springs subjected to moderate loads, helical springs and spring washers, spring rings with diameters ranging from 7-20mm. Suitable for high-wear-resistant parts such as grinding machine spindles, spring collets, precision machine tool lead screws, cutters, sleeve rings on helical roller bearings, and railway rails. 65Mn spring steel improves the quenchability with manganese, allowing φ12mm steel to be quenched in oil, with less tendency to decarburize on the surface compared to silicon steel. The comprehensive mechanical properties after heat treatment are superior to carbon steel, but it has sensitivity to overheating and temper brittleness. Used for small-sized flat and round springs, cushion springs, spring worms, and can also be used to make spring rings, valve springs, clutch springs, brake springs, and cold drawn wire cold-formed helical springs.

Manganese (Mn): 0.90～1.20

65MN round steel heat treatment specification and microstructure heat treatment specification: Quenching at 830℃±20℃, oil cooled; Tempering at 540℃±50℃ (±30℃ available upon special request). Microstructure: Troostite.
