Low operating pressure: Operating pressure can lower the boiling point of substances, down to 10-3 mbar (0.1 Pa).

German VTA Company is a specialized firm engaged in the development of thermal separation process technology, system design, film evaporation, and short-path distillation equipment manufacturing, with a large customer base. Building on extensive experience in process development, design, and equipment manufacturing, VTA offers experimental equipment for film evaporation and short-path distillation for small batch products, pilot-scale equipment, and industrial production equipment design and manufacturing. Relying on the group's strong manufacturing capabilities and Germany's excellent processing and manufacturing standards, VTA's products meet the high quality demands of customers.
VTA Company emphasizes teamwork greatly. The completion of a distillation unit often involves collaborative efforts from the Process Development Department, Mechanical Design Department, Electrical Automation Department, and Equipment Assembly Department. It is due to this synergy that VTA can deliver highly integrated turnkey solutions to clients, ensuring quality guarantees while maintaining process performance, providing durable equipment that showcases VTA's core competitiveness. Industrial Film Evaporation and Short-path Distillation
For film and short-path evaporators, selecting the appropriate scraper system is crucial. The scraper system must ensure even liquid film distribution and adequate agitation on the inner wall of the heated evaporator jacket to achieve high evaporation efficiency and minimal residence time. Choosing the right scraper system involves extensive experience, from lab-scale experiments to pilot plant trials, as well as designing numerous industrial units. VTA offers a variety of scraper systems, providing solutions for product separation.
Film evaporators and short-path/molecular distillation units are primarily used for product purification, concentration, solvent recovery, removal of free monomers, improvement of product color, and drying.
A typical project process includes the following steps:

Based on the development of pilot and pilot-scale process, VTA can provide a complete turnkey solution with process guarantees, supplied in a modular concept. The user only needs to provide the site and utilities connections; the rest is handled by VTA alone. Truly bringing convenience and security to the user.
The main mechanical components of the equipment are manufactured at VTA's facility in Niederwinkling, Germany, and at the STREICHER Group's location in Deggendorf. The process development, design, and manufacturing departments of VTA are in close proximity, facilitating tight collaboration and enabling VTA to swiftly respond to customer needs, including during the production and manufacturing stages.
These distillation units are used for purification, concentration, removal of low-boiling-point substances, color improvement, and material drying in various application fields. Film evaporators can also serve as reboilers for rectification columns. Applications include chemical, agrochemical, polymer, and food industries, among others.
