Under the weight of the submersible pump and the action of the sloping wedge faces, the two flange surfaces are tightly pressed together, as if the two flanges are securely fastened by two bolts. Even with high water pressure from the submersible pump, the flanges cannot be pushed apart and cause extensive leakage. When the submersible pump is lifted from the water pit, the two pairs of wedges can easily disengage along the sloping surface, thus activating the automatic coupling function. This allows for easy and automatic assembly and disassembly of the submersible pump while solving the issue of extensive water leakage between the coupled flanges, thereby saving energy.
