Level switch with a float ballA spherical magnet is contained within the buoy, which is hollow and passes through a cylinder. Inside the cylinder, there is a reed switch. As the buoy passes over the reed switch, the magnet triggers the switch, which then sends a signal.

As the water level in the tank risesThe ball floats up, emits a signal when passing through the reed switch position, typically used as a stop供水 signal, or it should be a water添加 signal when the water level drops to the upper position.

Technical Advantages of Buoy Level Switch: The float switch is free from failures caused by components such as bellows, springs, and seals. Instead, it uses a straight float to drive the internal magnet of the switch, with the simple lever mechanism of the float switch enabling instant action. The float cantilever angle limit design prevents the float from being vertical. The float level switch is a simple, convenient, and reliable liquid level controller. It operates faster and has a longer lifespan than typical mechanical switches; compared to electronic switches, it also boasts strong resistance to load surges.A single product enables multi-point control. It is widely applied in shipbuilding, papermaking, printing, generator equipment, petrochemicals, food industry, water treatment, electrical engineering, dye industry, and hydraulic machinery. The float switch is a simple, easy-to-use, and reliable liquid level control device, featuring a smaller size, faster speed, and longer service life compared to general mechanical switches. It also boasts strong load impact resistance, making it superior to electronic switches.

The basic components of the cable float liquid level switch controller consist of a float, cable, rope, and a weight hammer. The reed switch transmitter is completely housed within the sealed float, with the reed switch located at the root of the float. The magnetic ring and moving hammer are integrated into one unit, which can slide freely on the sleeve. When the ball float is upside down, the moving hammer slides to the top of the ball float. When the reed switch is away from the magnetic ring, it is open circuit; when the ball float is upside down, the moving hammer slides to the base of the ball float, the reed switch approaches the magnetic ring, and the reed switch is attracted together.

Float level switches only require recalibration of the water level before our installation; adjustments to the switch itself are not possible. At this point, use a multimeter to test the switch status, which will open and close near the water line depending on the water level, indicating there are no issues. Just ensure the water level alignment with the thermal equipment during the installation process. For example,SOR's level switch is typically marked with water level lines on the cylinder wall. We submerge the switch in a water tray, allowing it to slowly descend, bringing the water level closer to the marked line. As it approaches, you can hear the micro-switch activate.

Note: The working temperature of devices like the high liquid level switch is high, and the water inside is also at a high temperature; the density of hot water is less than that of room temperature water. Therefore, the action line of room temperature water is slightly lower than the switch marking line.

Low-level alarm connected to normally closed(NC), High Level Normally Open (NO). These switches are still relatively easy to install. The level switches themselves usually come with two or more microswitches, which output two sets of normally open and two sets of normally closed contacts. In application, they are typically used for "alarm signaling."

Installation is simple, and debugging is convenient. By moving and positioning the heavy blocks up and down, the control range of the level can be freely adjusted.

1 pump with 2 FK1 float balls, 2 pumps with 3 float ball switches; if a square FK2 liquid level gauge is used, one pump requires 1 FK2 gauge, and for two pumps in operation and standby, 2 FK2 gauges are needed. It should be noted that two pumps using FK1 can be set for pump rotation start; however, when using the FK2 liquid level gauge, simultaneous start of both pumps is not achievable.

The liquid level measurement and control is almost applicable to various industrial automation process controls, and can be widely used in the fields of liquid level measurement, control, and monitoring, such as oil processing, food processing, chemical industry, water treatment, power generation, papermaking, metallurgy, shipping, and boiler.

The float switch typically has three wires: one main wire and two wires that are normally closed and normally open (which can be distinguished with a multimeter). They can be connected according to requirements.2 or 3 wires.

Installation Precautions for Water Pump Float Switch

1. The installation location should be far from the water inlet; otherwise, the switch may malfunction due to fluctuations at the water inlet. 2. If the switch is mounted on the container pool wall, an L-shaped angle iron bracket can be added. 3. If the switch is installed in the mixing area, a wave protection tube or wave shield can be installed. 4. Choose a flange connection pipe with an inner diameter larger than the float ball diameter. 5. It is recommended to use multi-core cables for wiring. 6. The load of the controlled circuit must match the contact capacity of the float ball switch. 7. The specific gravity of the liquid being measured must be greater than that of the float ball. 8. The action point of the float ball has been adjusted according to the customer's order at the time of manufacture; please do not adjust the position of the float ball arbitrarily. When using the float ball switch in circuits with inductive loads such as motors, relays, solenoid coils, etc., it is recommended to parallel a protection circuit at both ends of the load, such as: RC (buffer), variable resistor, diode, etc. Note: Do not directly connect the float ball switch to solenoid valves, motors, or electromagnetic switches. When a float switch is used with capacitive loads such as capacitors, incandescent bulbs, or long cables, a surge of current will occur between the switch contacts. It is recommended to parallel protective circuits at both ends of the float switch, such as current-limiting resistors or surge absorbers.
