The new generation of silicone PU sports courts is an environmentally friendly flooring that is indispensable in sports venues. With a lifespan of over ten years, the surface of the silicone PU court can still experience discoloration, powdering, delamination, cracking, and bubbling due to climate or improper use. These issues directly affect the use of the sports venue. When such problems arise, it becomes particularly important to properly repair the damaged silicone PU court.
The construction process for a silicone PU court typically includes: preserving the elastic layer, preparing the subgrade; using a grinder to remove all fallen surface layers and scrape them off. Then, clean the subgrade. Primer; after preparing the subgrade, apply a layer of primer to form a sealed layer. Elastic layer; apply the silicone PU elastic material using a toothed trowel to the subgrade, each coat being 2mm thick, with the spacing between coats based on the previous one drying. Continue until the desired thickness is achieved. Topcoat; after mixing the silicone PU paint proportionally, apply it with a roller in two layers, which has strong resistance to weathering and UV radiation, making the court surface look vibrant and attractive. Use silicone PU line paint to mark the standard court lines. After long-term use, if the surface of the silicone PU court shows phenomena such as powdering, falling off, and bubbling, don't panic. Generally, applying a 3.0mm PU or 3.0mm silicone PU topcoat over the powdered and fallen areas is sufficient.
