Pressure difference refers to the difference in pressure before and after a throttling valve. The size of the pressure difference directly affects the smooth draining of condensate water. When the pressure control valve or temperature regulating valve operates and a siphon discharge occurs, the pressure before the valve may be affected.

Condensate recovery can prevent water hammer, vibration, and ice expansion in steam pipelines. Installation should consider the following factors:

1. The throttling valve should be as close as possible to the heating equipment to allow condensate to naturally flow into the throttling valve, enhancing work efficiency and reducing heat loss.

The inlet pipe of the hydraulic separator should be placed at the bottom of the heating unit to prevent condensation water from accumulating within the equipment.

3. Significantly reduce back pressure in the export piping sections by keeping the diameter large and the length short, minimizing bends, and minimizing vertical pipes. When installing steam equipment, it is generally advisable to use unit drain valves, which involve setting a drain valve at each equipment's drainage point and then connecting it to the main pipeline. This ensures there is no interference between equipment, avoids short circuits, and improves the equipment's thermal efficiency.

4. Drain point selection: At the bottom of the expansion vessel, it is divided into the lower part of the cylinder (steam distribution pipe) and the lower part of the wave-shaped compensator installed horizontally; at the end or lower end of the saturated steam pipe, and at the end of the steam heating pipe. When starting the boiler, a drain device should be installed in front of the throttle plate and at the lower part of the system that may accumulate water during boiler startup; in front of the pressure-reducing valve and regulating valve of the steam system; commonly under the intake pipe of the heat equipment.

As energy becomes increasingly scarce, energy-saving efforts are growing in importance, and the reuse of condensate water, as a crucial energy-saving measure, is gaining more attention. The condensate water recovery project is essential. During implementation, it is crucial to correctly address issues such as steam traps, water hammer, condensate gas discharge, and the selection and installation of drain valves to ensure the project fulfills its intended role in practice. With the continuous improvement of condensate water recovery technology, the development of recovery equipment will further enhance its energy-saving benefits.
