The magnetic spectrometer features an integrated design, comprising a radiation shield, scatterer, electron collimator, magnet, and detector, among other components. High-energy X-rays are converted into electrical signals by the scatterer. Electrons of different energies are deflected by the magnetic field at varying radii, allowing the measurement of the electrical signals to infer the energy and intensity of the incident X-rays.
