A comprehensive technology for diagnosing bearing failures and degradation by analyzing performance state parameters to judge and predict bearing reliability and performance, identifying and assessing the location, cause, and severity of abnormal conditions, and determining repair and improvement methods. Therefore, bearing fault diagnosis technology is not solely fault detection (or monitoring) technology, nor is it simply point-check instrumentation. It involves accurately, quickly, and effectively collecting signals, processing data, and manually or automatically identifying and judging. To determine a scientific maintenance cycle, it is also necessary to conduct tests and estimates based on the mechanisms of various types of failures, including fatigue and wear life. The degree of damage to a bearing in use can be determined by a method of "listen, feel, and observe."
1. Listening is a common method for identifying irregular operations. For instance, experienced operators and maintenance personnel often use screwdrivers or electronic stethoscopes to detect abnormal noises. Under normal operating conditions, bearings emit a low humming sound. However, if SKF bearings produce sharp hissing, squeaking, or other irregular sounds, it may indicate that the imported bearings are in a poor operating state.
2. Feel: High temperatures often indicate that imported bearings are in an abnormal state. High temperatures are also harmful to the lubricant inside the bearing. However, at times, the high temperature of the bearing is caused by the lubricant within the imported bearing itself. If the bearing operates at temperatures exceeding 120℃ for an extended period, it will reduce the bearing's lifespan. Causes of high bearing temperatures include insufficient or excessive lubrication, impurities in the lubricant, overloading, bearing damage, insufficient clearance, and high friction generated by oil seals. Normally, bearings will experience a natural temperature rise immediately after lubrication or within one to two days post-lubrication.
3. Observation: If the bearing is well lubricated and there is no dirt or moisture entering, it indicates that the bearing seal is not worn. After opening the original imported bearing box, visually inspect the bearing and regularly check the seal. Examine the condition of the seal near the bearing to ensure they are sufficient to prevent hot liquids, corrosive liquids, and gases from渗入轴承 along the shaft. If the seal is damaged, it should be replaced as soon as possible. Check the automatic lubrication system to ensure that engine oil or grease enters the imported F bearing, and ensure the correct amount is added. Also, check if the lubricant has changed color or turned black, as this usually indicates the presence of impurities in the lubricant, which is also harmful to the bearing's use.
