Now, a considerable portion of seedlings used in landscaping projects are purchased through nursery dealers, and a significant number of these dealers are unaware farmers. In green space design, plant names are typically used in their scientific Latin form, whereas nursery dealers often only know the common or local names. Sometimes, the common or local name of one plant coincides with the scientific name of another, which are not the same species. For instance, in some areas, Spiraea is called Pearl梅, while what northern locals refer to as Wintergreen is actually Mugo Pine, not the scientific Wintergreen at all.
2. Standard-sized seedlings are generally categorized into three types based on their cultivation methods: 1) Seedlings grown in nurseries, commonly found in mountainous areas; 2) Dense clusters or patches of trees in green spaces; and 3) Overcrowded forests in gardens. Seedlings cultivated in nurseries usually undergo multiple transplantings, have abundant taproots, are easy to establish, and recover quickly.
