1) Soil Preparation: The soil should be loose and well-drained, yet retain moisture, and be neutral or slightly acidic.
2) Transplanting and Planting: It is generally recommended to carry out the process during the recovery period immediately following the end of the plant's dormancy. Root pruning should be done prior to planting. After pruning, allow the roots to dry for a few days before planting them in moist growing soil. Once planted, provide some shade and avoid rushing to water. Do not fertilize within the first month.
(3) Temperature and Light Regulation: Cacti and succulents generally prefer warmth and a significant diurnal temperature variation. For epiphytic cacti and species of the genus Haworthia, good light is essential but should be soft.
4) Irrigation and Fertilization: Watering should be adjusted according to the plant's growth stage. For species that enter dormancy in winter or summer, stop watering the pot during the dormancy period. However, for those that enter summer dormancy, water should be sprinkled in walkways to maintain humidity. For plants in the vigorous growth phase, ensure their water requirements are met.
