Ensure the correct rotation direction of the motor.
It's crucial to determine the rotation direction of the motor. Many models of submersible sewage pumps can discharge water in both clockwise and counterclockwise rotations, but during the reverse rotation, the water output is low, the current is high, and the reverse rotation time is long, which can damage the motor windings.
2. Prevent abnormal startup due to power voltage fluctuations.
Due to the longer length of power lines, low terminal voltages often occur. When the voltage is below 198V and below 342V, the speed of the submersible sludge pump motor decreases. When the speed exceeds 70% of the rated speed, the centrifugal switch will shut off, forming the winding of the motor winding, causing it to heat up, and keeping the winding and capacitor in a heated state. Conversely, high voltage can cause the motor to overheat and burn out the coil. Therefore, during operation, the operator must continuously monitor the power supply voltage. If the additional voltage is below 10%, or if it exceeds 10%, the operation should be immediately stopped to investigate the cause and eliminate the fault.

3. Insulation resistance testing is required for cable installation and submersible sewage pumps.
During the installation of submersible sewage pumps, the cable lines should be suspended, and the power lines must not be too long. When submerging or extracting the submersible sewage pump, avoid placing stress on the cable to prevent wire cracking. Do not allow the submersible pump to sink into sludge while in operation, as this can lead to poor motor cooling and damage to the motor windings. On the equipment, the insulation resistance of the motor should not be less than 0.5 megohms.
4. Leakage Repair Device
The Leak Repairer, also known as the Lifesaver, lives up to its name. As its name suggests, its purpose is to ensure safety. Since the Submersible Sludge Pump operates underwater, a simple leakage can result in electrical energy loss and even electrical accidents. If a Leak Repairer is installed, it will cut off the power supply to the submersible pump if the leakage value exceeds the action current of the leakage maintenance device (usually not more than 30 milliamperes), ensuring safety and collectively preventing electrical leakage and waste of electricity.
Avoid frequent switching.
Do not frequently switch the submersible pump, as backflow occurs when the electric pump stops. If it is turned on immediately, it will cause the motor to start with a high load, potentially burning out the winding due to excessive startup current. Frequent startups can also damage the winding of the submersible sewage pump motor due to the high current during startup.
Don't allow the submersible sewage pump to operate under long-term overload.
To prevent submersible pumps from working under long-term overload, avoid pumping sandy water and always check if the current value is within the specifications listed on the label. If an excessive current is detected, stop the inspection. Additionally, avoid extended operation of the electric pump without water to prevent overheating and potential damage to the motor.
7. Emphasize routine maintenance.
Regularly inspect the motor. If you find cracks in the bottom cover, damage to the rubber sealing ring, or it is not functioning properly, replace or correct it promptly to prevent water from entering the pump.
The focus is on the application of submersible sewage pump maintenance equipment and regular maintenance, which can significantly extend the service life of the submersible pump.
