FiberglassBridge架Molding Process
The molding technology of glass fiber reinforced plastic bridge trays is the foundation and condition for the development of the glass fiber reinforced plastic bridge tray industry. As the application fields of glass fiber reinforced plastic bridge trays expand, the industry has seen rapid development. Its old molding processes are increasingly refined, and new molding methods are continuously emerging.
The aforementioned methods are applicable to the production of both thermosetting and thermoplastic fiberglass bridge decks, depending on the matrix material of the glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) chosen, with some processes suitable for both.
The glass fiber reinforced plastic bridge tray molding process features: Compared to the processing techniques of other materials, the composite material molding process possesses the following characteristics:
(1) Material manufacturing and product shaping are completed simultaneously. Generally, the production process of glass fiber reinforced plastic bridge structures is also the shaping process for the products. The properties of the material must be designed according to the product's usage requirements. Therefore, during the manufacturing of the material, the design of the mixture ratio, the determination of the fiber lay-up, and the shaping method, all must meet the physical and chemical properties, structural shape, and appearance quality requirements of the product.
(2) The molding process is relatively simple. Generally, the resin matrix of thermosetting fiberglass bridge supports is a flowing liquid before molding, and the reinforcing material is soft fibers or fabric. Therefore, producing fiberglass bridge supports with these materials requires fewer processes and equipment than other materials, and certain products can be manufactured with just one mold.
