Zhejiang Vocational Technical College of Business is nestled in the picturesque Qiantang River South Bank in Hangzhou's Binjiang Higher Education Park. The campus spans 592 acres and covers over 230,000 square meters in building area. Zhejiang Vocational Technical College of Business is now a national higher vocational college, a construction unit for high-level professional groups with Chinese characteristics, a pilot university for the modern apprentice system, and one of the first national vocational colleges to establish a digital campus. It is also a pilot project site for the Ministry of Education's "1+X" certification system and houses a provincial demonstration virtual simulation training base for vocational education, committed to cultivating high-quality, skilled talents for the modern service industry. The school offers a variety of professional courses, with Hotel and Catering Management being one of the nine provincial characteristic majors. The curriculum includes: catering business process management, catering project management, restaurant service skills, catering business cost management, catering food safety, catering English, catering chain operation and management, catering knowledge and skills, coffee brewing techniques, and more. Students are trained to master hotel restaurant environment design, theme banquet planning and design, and to understand various design elements, enabling them to create an environment that meets the requirements of the banquet design theme. The employment scope is broad: suitable for positions such as chain store managers, restaurant supervisors, and teaching staff in secondary vocational schools, as well as other basic management and teaching roles. They can also work in hotels, five-star hotels, and related fields as applied talents in catering services and management.

 

 


Our company has successfully completed the acceptance of the Zhejiang Vocational College of Business and Technology's Digital Restaurant Training Room project. This project encompasses a virtual reality training system for hotel catering and themed banquet design, a virtual teaching and training system for Western cuisine service, a restaurant ordering and cash register system, a digital catering desktop projection interactive system, and an intelligent simulation training system for digital catering operation management. It achieves simulation training in the traditional teaching of the hotel catering industry, addressing issues such as severe losses, high costs, and narrow coverage. By utilizing VR virtual reality technology, we have solved problems related to insufficient experience in traditional teaching, weak participation, and the inability of time-based teaching to cover all departments of the restaurant, thereby improving students' daily practice efficiency and the accuracy of competition training. Additionally, by updating technology and adopting more precise information means, we aim to enhance teaching capabilities and the level of educational reform.

The project engineering has been successfully completed and received unanimous praise from several验收 experts and academic users. The Digital Restaurant Training Lab offers simulated online learning for various knowledge points required in the catering industry, addressing issues encountered by teachers in daily teaching and students in theoretical lectures, practical teaching sessions, and competition training simulations. The learning process is engaging and enjoyable, deeply appreciated by both teachers and students.
