In industrial production, various technical indicators such as flow and pressure are crucial reference points. To ensure the normal operation of industrial production, many manufacturers use level pressure transmitters for water level measurement, including various process variables (temperature, level, pressure, flow, etc.), electronic characteristics (current, voltage, etc.), and physical quantities (motion, speed, load, strength), as well as the rapid development of traditional positioning sensors.
Level pressure transmitters have traditionally been used for pressure measurement in sealed pressure vessels. For open containers, according to the principle of the communicating vessels, the pressure at the same horizontal level within the connecting tube is equal. For pressure transmitters applied to water level measurement, this equal-pressure point should be located at the bottom of the container. In this way, the pressure measured by it equals the pressure exerted by the water column above that horizontal level.
Measuring liquid level with level pressure transmitters offers unique advantages. For level deviations caused by temperature changes, we can indirectly calculate density by compensating for temperature based on the correlation between density and temperature, and then calculate the height of the liquid column. These processes are easily achievable in control software, especially with smart pressure transmitters that come with built-in temperature compensation functionality. This allows the application of pressure transmitters to extend to measuring oil levels and the liquid levels in open-top containers.
Level pressure transmitters are used in industrial production to monitor and control various parameters in the production process, ensuring equipment operates in a normal state and improving product quality. Therefore, without numerous excellent sensors, modern production would lose its foundation.
