1、Before installation, clean the pump shaft, static ring cover, pump cover, and other parts related to the mechanical seal with clean cotton cloth.
2、Thoroughly inspect the radial and axial movement of the pump shaft, with an error requirement of ≤0.06mm. For specifics, please consult Da Yu Seal Co.
3、Verify that the installation dimensions of the mechanical seal match the corresponding pump component dimensions, with the outer diameter of the shaft (or sleeve) requiring Φ60-0-0.05.
4、Sequentially place the adjusting ring 1, the moving ring assembly (including spring seat 4, retainer 5, moving ring 8, etc.), over the shaft (or shaft sleeve); note that the moving ring is made of graphite and should not be struck or bumped.
5、After fitting the shims onto the static ring, secure it tightly on the pump cover using the static ring cover. Note that only one end of the static ring is ground, the other end (marked with “×”) is not to be used.
6、After securing the adjustable ring, compress the mechanical seal to working height 42 by adjusting screw 9, and then tighten the screw for the mechanical seal spring seat 3.
7、The carriages are normal and can be operated.
8、Note: Do not strike the mechanical seal at any step above; keep the sealing surface of the mechanical seal clean at all times; the O-ring can be lubricated; the mechanical seal pressure must not exceed 0.8MPa; the temperature must not exceed 60°C; if it does, appropriate cooling measures must be taken.
