Due to their shape resembling skylights, which allows for greater ventilation, they are termed ventilating skylights. Such skylights can be seen in many factories and enterprises, but the use and maintenance of the louvers are crucial. Why, despite many customers' use, do ventilating skylights sometimes fail to perform well in practical applications?
Today, we offer a brief analysis regarding information on ventilation skylights. When providing more detailed information, the following points should be noted: their excellent heat resistance plays a crucial role during fires. However, their performance can be compromised when used or installed improperly, sometimes resulting in poor ventilation effects.
According to the analysis, ventilation skylights should be used with caution, avoiding proximity to the tunnel's sidewalls. The smoke exhaust fans should fully utilize the inclined shafts at designated rescue stations and the fans at both ends of the tunnel as channels for introducing fresh air and exhausting smoke. The ventilation provided by the skylights maintains a positive pressure state at the cross-sectional openings, preventing smoke from flowing through the tunnel. The fan ventilation system directs air from the tunnel's transverse passage towards the accident tunnel, allowing smoke to enter the transverse passage and the tunnel unaffected by the incident, enabling evacuees to enter the transverse passage and tunnel headwind, while simultaneously ensuring the supply of fresh air to the waiting areas.
If the causes of poor ventilation in skylight openings can be identified, analyzed, and addressed, it can effectively resolve the issue of insufficient air flow through these openings. Poor air flow through skylights directly affects ventilation performance and should be addressed promptly.
