Black Corundum Product Introduction:
Black Corundum, also known as Low-Alumina Corundum, is a new derivative variety produced by Lifoong Abrasive Tool Co., Ltd. in the process of Brown Corundum production. It is a gray-black crystalline substance primarily composed of α-Al2O3 and magnetite, obtained by melting bauxite in an electric arc furnace. Characterized by a lower Al2O3 content and the presence of a certain amount of Fe2O3 (about 10%), it boasts moderate hardness, high toughness, high-temperature resistance, and stable thermal properties. Our black corundum abrasive features concentrated particle sizes, strong cutting power, high toughness, a balance of rigidity and flexibility, excellent wear resistance, and high efficiency. It is a standard product for grinding, polishing, and sandblasting stainless steel products.
Black Corundum Application Range:
Widely used in the tableware, electroplating, metal surface treatment, and glassware industries. Currently, it is extensively applied in the fine polishing of medium-hardness materials such as stainless steel kitchenware, lighting fixtures, motorcycle parts, and automotive accessories. Its polishing performance and effects are comparable to Japanese black corundum abrasive. It is a black corundum polishing material that can be used domestically as an alternative to imported black corundum abrasive materials.
Black Corundum Production Process:
Black corundum abrasive (also known as low-alumina corundum abrasive, iron sand powder) is a new type of polishing material, primarily made from high-quality bauxite and refined through an electric arc furnace. It is then processed through a complete scientific procedure. The product features moderate hardness, high tenacity, excellent wear resistance, sharp edges, strong self-sharpening, and a high degree of cleanliness in the polished workpieces, with polishing performance significantly superior to that of other similar products domestically and internationally.
