March 1, 2018, SASO issued the following news:
Starting October 1, 2018, all domestically produced and imported products must be compulsorily applied for under the new standards; as of September 1, 2019, market enforcement/control for products covered by the standards will be implemented.
June 8, 2018, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) issued Resolution No. 164 in its bulletin.
January 1, 2019 marked the official enforcement of SASO 2902 standard.
