Yield pots, as we've introduced before, are containers that provide protection for plants during seedling cultivation. The hole-pot technology has gained significant popularity, but not all users of seedling pots employ the correct methods. Today, let's普及 some proper steps and techniques for their use. Let's take a look together.
One: Prepare nutrient soil. Collect soil from plots that have grown scallions, garlic, or haven't grown solanaceous vegetables in recent years. Mix it with garden soil, decomposed horse manure, and stable manure in a 1:1:1 ratio. Then, add phosphorus pentoxide equivalent to 0.1~0.2% of the soil weight to create nutrient soil, which is filled into the seedling bed and compacted and leveled.
Seed Disinfection: Soak seeds in warm water at 55°C or immerse them in a 10% sodium tripolyphosphate solution for 20-30 minutes. After removing, rinse thoroughly with clean water and proceed with germination and sowing.
Three, Seed Treatment. The magnetized seed treatment can magnetize seeds, as well as the multi-functional ozone water treatment for seeds, or the use of the "863 Bio-Grow Accelerator" to nano-treat seeds. By choosing any one of the three methods or all three methods simultaneously, the enzyme activity within the seeds is activated and enhanced, significantly improving the disease resistance of the seeds. Generally, this can lead to early germination of 3 to 4 days, with seedlings growing fast and robustly.
Four: Timely Sowing. Calculate the appropriate sowing date based on the planting date. Before sowing, ensure the seedbed is adequately watered, then proceed with sowing, covering the seeds, and finally, cover the ground with a film.
Five, Temperature Management: It is advisable to maintain a temperature of 25~30℃ for seedling sowing and before emergence; after emergence, keep the daytime temperature at 20~22℃ and the nighttime temperature at 15~16℃; before transplanting, maintain 25~28℃; after transplanting, keep the daytime temperature at 20~25℃ and the nighttime temperature at 15~18℃; perform low-temperature acclimatization 7~10 days before planting to increase the survival rate of solanaceous vegetables.
Section VI: Light Management. Solanaceous vegetables thrive in bright light, growing robustly under such conditions, whereas they tend to become leggy and prone to diseases in low light.
Here is all the knowledge regarding the usage and management methods of seedling trays for planting. We hope everyone can remember this information and apply it, and that it will be helpful to all.
